About Us

Lucky U Boutique was founded in 2012 by Kara Mack, a former marketing specialist & graduate of Stephen F. Austin with a degree in Journalism & emphasis in PR/Advertising. 
After moving back to the DFW metroplex in 2010 with 15 years experience in retail management & marketing, she put corporate America behind and launched Lucky U. Starting out, she participated in big & small shows to grow & establish her business before finally opening her first store front in Midlothian, TX in 2015.
After 5 years & with the unwavering support of her customers she was able to fulfill a longtime goal of opening up another store front & designing the space from top to bottom, bringing every vision of her "dream store" to fruition. With that opportunity, she  relocated her first store to a larger space in her home town of Mansfield, TX in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. 
With towering exposed ceilings & raw concrete floors, the stores eclectic style could be described as a combination of modern & boho chic.  It's packed full of fabulous clothing & treasures, features exclusive clothing & jewelry lines, and has a vast selection of gift & small home accent pieces. It's as if she has curated the perfect selection of items, making you feel like there's always a reason to come back in!

"I want for all of my customers to experience what a true boutique store is. They'll see & find things at Lucky U they won't just anywhere else. My goal is to provide them with high quality, unique clothing & accessories that make them feel fabulous! And of course, awesome customer service! I want to give them an experience; with the clothing, accessories, gift items, everything I have in the store. And in an environment that is fun & relaxing as well. Not having the same thing as everyone else was a key motivator for me when I opened this business. Hence my tagline: Be Original. Be Unique.
One hundred percent I know this business wouldn't be possible without each & every customer, whether they shop with me in-store, online or at shows. I am so thankful for all of them, so the least I can do is give them an amazing boutique experience," Mack said.

Originality & creativity are definitely two things you will find in store. Kara covers uniqueness from apparel to "curated treasures", home accent pieces & vintage art. There is something for everyone at this boutique and the products are always revolving & evolving.
New Arrivals weekly is a business staple for Lucky U & something she is known for. Kara also features her weekly new arrivals every Thursday at 6:30pm on Facebook & Instagram for anyone to check out incase they can't make it into the store to browse & shop in person.
